IES FIRGAS, in Las Palmas, presents the scientific project with which they will take part in the #ServetVI launches in spring 2022.
We want to develop this project because we have worked with Arduino before on a measurement project and we have programming skills. We also find it interesting because we enjoyed working with Arduino.
This project will consist of taking several measurements. A balloon will be launched with a box inside which we will put the Arduino with several sensors, including, for example, one to measure CO2 and another to measure humidity, temperature… It will also carry a camera that will film the whole journey, and we will be able to obtain information on distance, clouds, noise pollution, among many other things; in addition, we will have spectacular images of the Earth from a great height, where we can measure the curvature of the Earth.
Afterwards, once we have everything ready, the balloon will be launched into the atmosphere and we will begin to collect the data.
Our aim is to try to fit into the box, which must have a set weight, everything we need to carry out our research and thus obtain data from which we will then draw conclusions and comparisons.
