#ServetVI moves forward: Institut Giola de Llinars will send moisturising cream to the stratosphere

The aim of the experiment is to learn about the physical-chemical variations of the cream as it rises to the stratosphere

The team has a website that gathers the project’s progress

Institut Giola de Llinars del Vallès, in Barcelona, will also take part in the #ServetVI launches in spring 2022. The project is moving along at a good pace:

– The box is being made by 1st-year ESO. They are working on the design, selecting the materials and analysing possible solutions to the small difficulties they meet.

– Our sample is a moisturising cream and a sun protection cream. We are sending the sample to see its physical-chemical variations as it rises to the stratosphere.

The team has a website that gathers the most important points of the project, both theoretical and practical. Here are some examples:

  • Theory: topics related to the curriculum such as the study of the atmosphere, pressure, physical-chemical properties, etc.
  • Practice: making different creams.

So far we are moving forward as planned. We have already started making the sample and in a month or a month and a half we hope to have everything wrapped up. In addition, we are receiving online training on how to make the creams, so for now we have no difficulties.
