The team is improving telemetry, improving the reception and transmission of data
“We are happy and excited about our progress. We are looking forward to reaching the end!”
The Espiciencia school of young scientists, in Burgos, presents the scientific project “UP: Microbes in flight”, with which they will take part in the #ServetVI launches in spring 2022. News stories starring microorganisms appear constantly nowadays, and for that reason they have considered the importance of knowing how they are distributed through the air, at different heights, under difficult conditions. In recent weeks they have carried out the following actions:
1. Making prototype capsules and parachutes.
2. Resistance tests of the chosen capsule by dropping it from a radio-controlled plane.
3. Design and manufacture of the boards to connect the sensors.
4. Design and printing of the parts for the suction device and rotating filter.
5. Progress in telemetry: we are improving the reception and transmission of data. It is our biggest challenge, but we will get there.

In future sessions we want to:
1. Set up all the electronics
2. Run tests of the suction device from the plane
3. Define our telemetry standards: what we want to transmit and which data we can do without until landing.

We are happy and excited about our progress. We are looking forward to reaching the end!
