The IES Legio VII (León) has presented its scientific project for #SERVETX through these objectives:
Objective 1: Measurement of basic atmospheric data such as pressure, temperature and humidity and their relation to altitude. In addition, data on CO2, H2, ethanol and TVOC and their influence on the destruction of the ozone layer will be obtained
Objective 2: Measurement of the I-V characteristic and irradiance in a photovoltaic module. The experiment consists of installing a solar panel in the capsule, from which voltage and current measurements will be taken as a function of height, which will show the variation of the solar constant due to the atmosphere and the increase in the panel’s performance.
Objective 3: Design and implementation of an active heating system to protect the probe’s electronics. We will work on designing a solar-powered heating system, without battery support, that is able to keep the on-board electronics and batteries at a preset temperature.
