In this video the team of students from the Espiciencia School of Young Scientists, in Espinosa de los Monteros, Burgos, tell us about the progress of their scientific project, which will be launched to the stratosphere as part of the classroom citizen science project #SERVETVIII
Their experiment: “In search of the spilled phenol”
With this experience we want to find out about the presence of phenols at different heights, as well as the concentration of atmospheric chlorine, and relate it to other chemical parameters such as pH, CO2 concentration or radiation, in order to estimate the pollution caused by the application of plant protection products at different heights through the atmosphere and study its distribution. In addition, with this experience we will be able to highlight the use of these sensors to determine pesticide concentration under conditions of low gas pressure and low temperatures.
